The Knowledge Manager leads the design and implementation of knowledge management processes and systems across AGSM Short Courses and project manages the development of new products. The role entails developing and implementing a knowledge management strategy that will ensure AGSM is able to leverage knowledge to improve productivity and effectiveness of the team and enables a seamless and high-quality customer experience through accurate and proactive use of knowledge in the sales and program delivery process.

This position reports to the Head of Product and has no direct reports.

Accountabilities

Specific Accountabilities For This Role Include

    • Identify ongoing knowledge management requirements, including business development and account management, implementing solutions for the successful delivery of programs.
    • Conduct high-level assessments on knowledge available (e.g. key bid documents, workbooks and digital modules) and current processes and systems to manage knowledge.
    • Develop, manage and lead the knowledge management strategy with recommended implementation options for systems, processes and priorities for immediate and long-term improvement, including but not limited to, IP and associated commercial arrangements, badging and accreditation pathways into award programs.
    • Maintain understanding of best practice implementation of knowledge management from global comparators in Higher Education and other non-established competitors.
    • Provide input to the program design process to ensure that learning assets are reused and considered in order to maximise reach and margin of existing assets.
    • Project manage the development of new programs, custom learning solutions and other relevant ad hoc projects in support of the Head of Product.
    • Assist in the development of collateral for short courses and executive education, ensuring consistency and reuse in the bid response and tendering process.
    • Identify and develop key inter-connections with existing processes and systems (e.g. CRM) to ensure efficient and effective knowledge management.
    • Support a client-orientated culture and collaborative team environment which ensures effective and cooperative relationships, identifying new opportunities for training and upskilling the team to ensure sustainable adoption of new processes and ways of working.
    • Collaborate with AGSM and UNSW Business School colleagues to develop and lead strategies for continuous improvement, implementing and integrating solutions into relevant processes, including changes to systems, policies, procedures and reporting.
    • Work with relevant teams to manage resources relating to AGSM’s information technology needs and other resources as required.
    • Represent the AGSM in University and Business School systems and technology planning forums.

    • Cooperate with all health and safety policies and procedures of the university and take all reasonable care to ensure that your actions or omissions do not impact on the health & safety of yourself or others.

Skills And Experience

    • Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive relevant experience or an equivalent level of knowledge, gained through a combination of education, training and/or experience.
    • Demonstrated track record in knowledge management in a learning context and/or a knowledge management qualification will be highly regarded.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement knowledge management (or related) systems and processes.
    • Outstanding written and oral communication, negotiation and consultation skills, including an ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated success in planning and execution of strategy with extensive project management experience and an ability to manage complex objectives and competing priorities.
    • Demonstrated success working with and managing stakeholders and clients.
    • Proven leadership skills managing a team of professionals, including management of workloads, setting priorities and influencing and driving core outcomes to achieve desired outcomes.
    • Excellent computing skills including demonstrated experience of working with database systems and Microsoft Products, including Excel.
    • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
