- Our Digital Workplace team is currently seeking to appoint an Information and Collaboration Specialist for a fixed-term contract (parental leave cover) to take a lead role in delivering an innovative digital workplace, providing specialist advice in the use of collaboration and digital workplace technologies, making recommendations and implementation of new and enhanced technologies.
- The role will collaborate with the Digital Workplace Manager in refining and delivering the Digital Workplace Strategy and related capabilities to support and champion Deakin’s Digital Workplace.
- Reporting to the Digital Workplace Manager, you will work closely with other members of the Digital Workplace team along with colleagues across the University to deliver both technical platform and business solutions. You will do this using your expertise in Office365 tools, particularly SharePoint Online, the Power Platform, and Microsoft Teams. A crucial element of your role is to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, particularly with internal communications staff, technical support staff, and faculties and portfolios across the University.

Your key responsibilities will include, and not limited to:
- Monitor leading-edge developments in relevant digital workplace technologies, assessing implications and providing and implementing recommendations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure items of interest to the Deakin Digital Workplace are captured, reported and acted on as needed.
- Design and develop the configuration of sites, workflows, permissions, templates and other technical aspects of the digital workplace solution.

- Undertake gap analysis to identify shortfalls and limitations of existing solutions against business needs and requirements to continually improve the Deakin Digital Workplace solution.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive the development of communication and collaboration frameworks and governance for the Deakin Digital Workplace.
- Provide support and advice in the development of the Deakin Digital Workplace Strategy.
To be successful, you’ll have:

- Postgraduate qualification and relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Extensive experience in managing an enterprise, large-scale intranet or digital workplace in a complex environment.
- Proven experience in providing strategic support and advice in relation to intranet strategies and digital workplace.
- Experience in multi-channel content management environments.
- Demonstrable skills in configuring metadata and enterprise search on large-scale content management systems.

- Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills, with a proven ability to influence others, particularly senior stakeholders and executives.
- Demonstrable ability in deploying enterprise-level technologies such as: document management, content management or collaboration.
- Experience delivering solutions using Microsoft Office 365, particularly SharePoint Online, the Power Platform (especially PowerAutomate and PowerApps), and Microsoft Teams.
